Guardian Healthcare is a Medicare Advantage Organization with a Medicare contract. Guardian Healthcare offers Medicare Advantage Private Fee-for Service (PFFS) plans throughout South Carolina and a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plan in Greenville County, South Carolina. Guardian Healthcare renews its contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) annually.  Benefits beyond the current contract year are not guaranteed.  Even if a Medicare Advantage plan leaves the area, you will not lose Medicare coverage.

A Medicare Advantage Private Fee-for-Service (PFFS) plan works differently than a Medicare Supplement plan. Your doctor or hospital must agree to accept the plan’s terms and conditions prior to providing healthcare service to you with the exception of emergencies. If your doctor or hospital does not agree to accept Guardian Healthcare’s payment terms and conditions, they may not provide healthcare services to you, except in emergencies. When you enroll in a Medicare Advantage Private Fee-for-Service plan you must continue to pay your Part B premium.
